Informix tends to make alot of hay over TPC's, but only because it shows that the hardware vendors know that it'll make them look good. Most TPC's are on dissimilar configurations, so comparing them is difficult at best. The SAP SD benchmarks are done on the same hardware configs, but Sybase can't run SAP apps (still no row-level locking), so you can only compare Informix and Obstacle. I wonder why we haven't seen any ads about those...hmmm. Misleading or false advertising is a dis-service to our customers and a disgrace to the industry. I hope that our firm never stoops so low.
