SAP client-copy under Informix 7.24

Hi, We are running SAP 3.1I on HP-UX 10.20, and Informix 7.24UC4X1. Our problem is trying to get a client-copy performed from our production instance (P01) to development (D01). Both instances are on separate machines on the same LAN. Due to the size of production (approx. 18Gb), the client-copy (which used to work fine when it was first setup) now fails due to the two reasons: 1. it runs out of locks (we have increased from 100,000 locks to 4,000,000); 2. and we have also managed to get a long transaction (and it hasn't even got to the largest table yet). We have tried the client export method (SCC8) and remote client-copy which uses RFC (SCC9), both unsuccesfully. Now obviously the idea is to get the client-copy to commit smaller transaction sets, but we can find no instructions (despite looking on OSS and logging problem with SAP) on how to do this and get the copy to work. The main purpose of the client-copy is to get production data into development so that we can prepare and test for the 4.5B upgrade. Hopefully someone out there has got this to work, or can kindly inform us on how to achieve the same. Many thanks -- Simon Barber
