Re: SQL load in ESQL/C ?

LOAD is not a statement in ESQL/C; you can't do it. Even if it was a statement, you would not be able to use a variable for the table name; you can't supply the table name with a variable anywhere in ESQL/C. You can't use SELECT * FROM $tabname; You can't do GRANT SELECT ON $tabname; etc. Yours, Jonathan Leffler (johnl@informix.com) #include <disclaimer.h> PS: You can sort of achieve the tablename-as-variable effect using statements PREPAREd from strings, but that doesn't count for the purposes described above. }From: Cynthia Leong <cynthia@hpsgcip1.sgp.hp.com> }Subject: SQL load in ESQL/C ? }Date: Wed, 24 Aug 94 16:36:22 EST }X-Informix-List-Id: <list.4574> } }Hello, } }I want to execute the load command from esql.
