Is 64-bit Windows an option?
Even if you have to use 32-bit IDS 10.0 (hopefully you could migrate to
64-bit IDS 11 eventually), at least you could address closer to 4GB
shared memory if you ran it on 64-bit Windows.

He'd be better off on Linux.
