Questions about Online vs SE

Questions about Informix/Online I am hearing horror stories about maintainence effort involved in keeping Informix/Online running on various platforms. For a number of reasons (VARCHAR and blobs figure heavily) I would like to move up from SE to Online, but I am in a position of handing off the database to customers who *don't* want to know much about database maintainence. Can people who have experience with Online comment on the maintainability? Most of what I am doing will be extremely simple - most of my databases consist of a single table - but if one has to be an expert in disk fragmemtation and clustering and so on just to keep things running, my customers will be sunk. Note that it is OK if the *original set up* of the database is difficult - we'll package all that up and deliver a turnkey system, pre-installed.
