When starting a Dynamic 4GL login session using startwtk (by way of an icon created via "Add a WTK connection") or starting an application program from a command line customised from once of these, where is the most appropriate place to automatically set the environment variables for the session? I notice that some WTK environment variables get set by 4glsrvi1.ini - is it possible/ desirable to set things like FGLDIR, PATH, FGLLDPATH, DBPATH etc from a similar place? Thanks, -Andy- Redland, Bristol
Hi, There is an "ENVIRONMENT VARIABLES SECTION" in fglprofile file. You can set things like: fglrun.setenv.0 = "DBCENTURY=C" fglrun.setenv.1 = "DBMONEY=." fglrun.setenv.2 = "DBFORMAT=:,:.:" On Sat, 20 Feb 1999 8:21 +0000 (GMT Standard Time), andykent@cix.co.uk (Andy Kent) wrote: >When starting a Dynamic 4GL login session using startwtk (by way of an >icon created via "Add a WTK connection") or starting an application >program from a command line customised from once of these, where is the >most appropriate place to automatically set the environment variables for >the session? > >I notice that some WTK environment variables get set by 4glsrvi1.ini - is >it possible/ desirable to set things like FGLDIR, PATH, FGLLDPATH, DBPATH >etc from a similar place? > >Thanks, > >-Andy- >Redland, Bristol Thanks a lot, Manel Falcó SEMIC, S.A.
