dbexport/dbimport problems ??

This dbexport/dbimport discussion could run and run. I have a problem understanding the disadvantage/s of having data physically grouped and indexes also kept contiguous. I would have thought that a multi-user environment could only gain by the exclusion of frag- mentation, having said that, I am also equally sure that some fragmentation may be advantageous in some exotic installations. Can`t we just agree that lots of fragmentation i.e. lots of tables with more than 8 extents (especially catalog tables) is not desirable in any OnLine system and that the carefull usage of the dbexport/dbimport feature of OnLine is the way to bring these tables back into line ?
