See the "Informix Guide to SQL Tutorial v7.1" part number 000-7634, page 5-10, and "Informix-4GL Reference: Volume One v6.0" part number 000-7611, page 2-24. I haven't used this, so check it closely. Note also that you can get the rowid this way. Informix recommends that you DON'T use the rowid as a key in your applications.
