Why??? (did informix use termcap on AIX port?)

Why did Informix choose to stay with the old "termcap" terminal information database when they ported SQL & 4GL to AIX? This certainly is a pain, since termcap is not really documented anymore... Anyone care to shed some light on this? -- -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= John Maddox jmaddox@mistxt.oc.com 214-888-0476 OpenConnect Systems
