The best way to do this is probably:
(1) Create a new table with the same structure (including the same
indexes) as the table to be restored.
(2) Note the names of the .dat and .idx files used to store the new
table.
(3) Recover the .dat and .idx files from tape and copy them over the
files created for the new table.
(4) Run update statistics.
