Discovery of bugs....

Thanks to those who responded to my request for information about the -229 and -113 locking errors. Informix has stated this problem is a result of bugs 17504 and 19325 which are supposedly corrected in 5.01.UC6. The explanation that they gave me (paraphrased) is that an exclusive lock on a temp table is "pseudo" released, the location is marked as free but the lock is still in place. Another process comes along, attempts to create a temp table at the same location and is unable to due to the lock. Well, ok.... but why has this not happened until now? I have been running with 5.01.UD3 for 10 months and the affected programs have not changed. Why hasn't this been happening all along? Anybody have any ideas? Thanks in advance.
