Need info on escape sequences to make a font Courier New

A colleague of mine is using sendmail to mail a file from an HP Unix server to individuals on our network. Our mail system is Lotus Notes Mail. Whenever we send a report the columns don't line up. This can be resolved by using Courier New font.
