Setting the format and picture behind the forms is part of the solution. You also need to edit your 4gl code where the field edits take place to catch the errors. I did this with Informix 7.1 some time last year and it is working OK . And, remember to update all of your data or every record could give you errors. > -----Original Message----- > From: T.A.P.S.
