Help needed with locked database

I tried to convert a database from non-logging to unbuffered logging on Informix-OnLine 7.1 on solaris with the command 'ontape -s -U database'. Since then i get an error when i try to access the database: 329: Database not found or no system permission 178: Isam error: Database is locked; pending change to logging mode. The manual says that the log-change is valid after the next level-0 backup. Isn=B4t a level-0 backup done with ontape -s ???? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
