2.10 SQL dbload return code
Posted in 1993
Running on Unisys 5000/90, using SQL 2.10, Unix V.3, 5.1 release, we run
the following command:
dbload -d mydbname -l mydblog -c mydbdesc -n 500 -e 200 > mydb.out
and then check for the value of $? which for a Unix command would normally
be 0 if it successfully executed. The dbload command returns something other
than 0. I ran it with sh -x today and it returned 160. There were 1850
rows successfully loaded and 0 rows which failed. What I need to know is
what to check for to see if ANY rows loaded successfully.
Question: what is the 160? A count of something? A return code? I have
read thru Appx J of the reference manual for 2.1 and no mention is made of
return codes.
Thank you for any help on this old product!
