I agree it's a problem, but last I checked, Informix is still in denial about it. Once they saw I couldn't prove it preempted real work, they were no longer interested, and I was out of time and energy to continue to argue with them (which is what they really wanted...stall 'em long enough & they'll go away...). It is misleading, unnecessary, and destroys any attempt to performance monitor and capacity plan.
