Informix & IntraBuilder -Reply

Allen: Intrabuilder with Informix works fine. If you are using MS IIS instead of Netscape Server, or Borland's Web Server, then read the somewhat --involved-- instructions on the enhancements necessary to get the Microsoft Web Server to work. It WILL work. Like: Ease of getting up a 2 apps. 1) Phone book (stole the demo). 2) A screen for browsing a single table (10 minutes of 'Wizard' work). Dislike: Without having dug into great depth with the product, it appears to have the same issue as most browser-based applications; no persistant database connection. Good for Queries, not as good for Update transactions. Still playing with the product, but anxiously awaiting my Delphi 3 upgrade which should have the same ability. >>> Allen Graetz <graetz@pikas.com> 05/15/97 10:08am >>> I would like to know if anyone out there has used Borland's IntraBuilder with Informix. What types of problems did you encounter? What things did you like? Thanx! -- Allen Graetz Berkley Information Services Web Developer graetz@pikas.com
