I think it is a huge marketing failure on the side of Informix to not distribute an ODBC driver for their products themselves. I am usually much in favor of Informix as opposed to Oracle, but the Oracle guys have been much more clever, distributing ODBC drivers for their products FOR FREE and having Microsoft include drivers in their packages.
