My employer is looking at an HP System that will use an Auto Raid Model 12H storage system for Peoplesoft/Informix databases. Has any one had any experiences with the Auto Raid technology working with allocating Informix dbspaces, table loads/reorgs, backup/recovery, etc? We are trying to determine if this will provide us a fast I/O subsystem for a potential Peoplesoft HR and Education applications on an HP 9000 K 460 2-way processor. The HP will essential be a big database server for the Peoplesoft application. We are putting two 96 MB Disk array AutoRaid controllers with 7 9.1 GB drives and are using 2 FWD SCSI interfaces on the server. Any thoughts, experiences, suggestions are very greatfully solicited for critique on our configuration. (We want to go with IDS 7.30 and HP-UX 11.0, or is 10.2 better?)

It will take too much time to write everything .... :-)) With best regards, Juri Dovgart, Bank's "Ukraine" System Administrator;‰ -----------== Posted via Deja News, The Discussion Network ==---------- http://www.dejanews.com/ Search, Read, Discuss, or Start Your Own
