Good Day.. We are running a product called Ghostfill with MS Word. We connect to our Online 7 Database via ODBC (Informix 2.8). We run Dynamic Server. I know that we can open applications from the source code, but how do I pass variables to MS Word ??. Can anybody please help me Thank You Elize elizem@hotmail.com Sent via Deja.com http://www.deja.com/ Share what you know. Learn what you don't.
Hi Elize, Assuming you are using Delphi, you can set variables via the GhostFillVCL in the following way: GhostFillVCL.Variables.FullName := 'John Smith' If you wanted to add this variable to Word's DocVariables you could do the following: GhostFillVCL1.ServerList.DocVar.FullName := 'Mary Smith'; or GhostFillVCL1.ServerList.DocVar.FullName := GhostFillVCL.Variables.FullName; Roger Weiss GhostFill Support Korbitec Elize <elizem@hotmail.com> wrote in message news:7ribpd$77j$1@nnrp1.deja.com... > Good Day.. > > We are running a product called Ghostfill with MS Word. > We connect to our Online 7 Database via ODBC (Informix 2.8). > We run Dynamic Server. > I know that we can open applications from the source code, but > how do I pass variables to MS Word ??. > > Can anybody please help me > > Thank You > Elize > elizem@hotmail.com > > > Sent via Deja.com http://www.deja.com/ > Share what you know.
