Re: SQL PLUS question

This is realy an Oracle question belonging in one of the Oracle
groups.
However from the Informix side dbload can deal with day-month-year if
you can make the month numeric. In that case you simply set the dbdate
environement variable to DMY2- before you start dbload.
If you can't make Oracle generate numeric month you can easily make a
script (awk, sed, perl or whatever fits best) that does the conversion
before the data is loaded into Informix.

:DAY-MONTH-YEAR, EX: 27-JAN-97. Is there some way to have a DATE field

:EX: MONTH-DAY-YEAR 01-27-97.
