Roland and Sujit, This error is apart of bug #62002. A stray lock remains on the On-line Database. We had this problem once when we could not DROP DATABASE with TBLSPACES set to 200 and our application tables numbered around 250. Increasing TBLSPACES to 300 did the trick. When I try to drop a database, I encountered an error 214. The error message mentioned something about can't find table in syscolumns.
