Don't use 'load from...'. It works as a single transaction. It cannot be changed even by turning logging off. Use dbload utility instead (it commits every xxx records) or write something similar in ESQL/C. Remember: It's not problem of LOGS (and logging) but LOCKS. Michal Hobot doctorq@sam.nask.com.pl
