Re: Help w/intl characters

hallo Oscar,
I don't know if it is exactly what you want, but I think same problem we
solved using bind variables instead direct string in SQL statement. We are
using SQL Windows. This can help you with PowerBuilder too.

} Hello,
} I am using Informix OnLine 7 over SCO Unix. I get a -202 error (invalid
} character embedded in SQL string) whenever I try to insert a register
} containing the character "n tilde" (decimal 165) or any accented vowel.
} However, if I load them from a file with the "load from" command, there
is
} no error message and subsequent selects show the characters OK. I am
using
} dbaccess from a TinyTerm emulator.
} The type of the field in which we try to insert is varchar.
} The same problem appears running from a PowerBuilder app. over I-NET
} Any help will be gratly appreciated
} Thanks in advance.
