There are only three columns - an Integer, a Date and a BYTE pointer.
(There is also a unique index on the int column). The wrinkle is that
the blob points to an optical subsystem, hence it cannot be unloaded
in the normal manner. I wrote an ESQL-C program to output the blob
descriptor as a 56-byte hex string, but it takes far too long (for our
purposes) to unload the table. What I need is some way to make a copy
of the blob pointer in another table, without copying the actual blob.
Any ideas?
(The table uses the default extent size, which is 8 pages (I think)).
