Is it possible to interact via ODBC with an informix 5.0 database server?. I know its a quite old version, it's just a question. thanx.

You could try our ODBC driver: SCO SQL-Retriever works fine to Informix 5 (SE & OnLine) on many types of UNIX. Take a look at http://www.sco.com/vision/products/sqlretriever/ for more information and a downloadable eval. Doesn't need IStar either.
