Not true. The connection type depends on the type defined in sqlhosts
for the named server (myserver), if myserver is declared as a shared
memory connection then the connection is shared memory, if myserver is
the same as $INFORMIXSERVER then the @myserver is completely redundant
and prevents the code from being run on a sister machine or development
server.
