Well - maybe. But don't forget that they didn't say the size of each transaction. Nor did they state the size of the data being processed. If each transaction consists of 1000 updates, then that would translate to 53000 updates per second. Likewise, if each of these transactions consist of a 10 megabyte large object load, then 53 TPS would be quite a bit. Don't assume that all transactions are single row transactions. ;-)
