OTOH, I know another retailer that's seriously considering mysql for their store applications. Informix is seen as a deadend. While they're updating to the latest release for their current installations, they are actively seeking out a platform to migrate to. The fact that they're using today just means that these types of companies are prone to inertia. The observed conditions don't necessarily indicate a satisfiaction level with the support prospects for Informix. This is firsthand information subject to NDA. > >> >> Seems to me this is rather creative use of statistics.
