Hello enterprise replication experts !
replication is broken.
running
IBM Informix Dynamic Server Version 11.50.FC6
HP-UX wuast130 B.11.23 U 9000/800
I am trying to rebuild replication. while deleting replication. I have hit a
problem where I cant delete syscdr db or define server for replication
cdr list server shows
SERVER ID STATE STATUS QUEUE CONNECTION CHANGED
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
cdr error: select bytesqueued from syscdrqueued
SQL code -206 :The specified table (syscdrqueued) is not in the database.
ISAM -111 :ISAM error: no record found.
I try to drop syscdr db and it says in use which it is as onstat -g ath
shows CDR tghreads for example one below
56 c00000008c4896f0 c00000008af244a8 1 sleeping secs: 2 1cpu CDRSchedMgr
If I attempt to try and define server I get
SERVER ID STATE STATUS QUEUE CONNECTION CHANGED
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
cdr error: select bytesqueued from syscdrqueued
SQL code -206 :The specified table (syscdrqueued) is not in the database.
ISAM -111 :ISAM error: no record found.
Any ideas how I can drop syscdrs so I can set up replication again.
There are 2 servers involved using update anywhere
The last change I did to config file some weeks ago was set ALARMPROGRAM
/opt/informix/etc/alarmprogram.sh
Could this have thread open monitoring cdr ?
Have you tried running "cdr stop" and the "cdr remove" before dropping the
syscdr database?

Shutdown your server (onmode -kuy) and the restart using oninit -D,
this prevents
ER attempting to start and locking the syscdr database. You can then drop that
database. You will need to do this on both sides.
Once done you can redefine your servers which will recreate the database.

Show all of the cdr threads. The schedule manager is not a key thread.
The syscdrqueued table is an addition to sysmaster which is inserted when
ER is first established.

Thanks for your ideas folks
the cdr stop did indeed stop rep and allow me to drop -the datbases - talk
about ignoring the obvious !
I also remember the oninit -D option as well
We get into the situation I had when we load an instance from our production
unix server and restore to our test server. Since the prod is a 24 by 7 we
cant stop replication before doing the backup.
Normally I run an in house written script that cleans up all the replication
tables and deletes the database. This used to work under 11.2 looks like it
doesnt under 11.5.
