Take Tools Feeler Mail, SERIOUSLY

AT last, Informix has given the user group, a chance to say how important are the tools to us, and how much we care about discontinuing some of our favourite tools. This may the only time we get and the one which decides the existence of those tools. May be the "record balance-sheet" of last quarter is making Informix give more attention to those tools which brought them to current position in RDBMS - market, rather than forcing us to switch over to their latest tools (normally GUI-based tools requiring MS-Windows, which makes dial-in use a nightmare ). Trend of Informix tools in recent past, shows that "take-over by Micro Soft" may not be in the stock market, but it could be in the tools market, by replacing all character based tools like I4GL, ISQL, DBA-Tools, etc. with new "super-tools" which are supported only on MS-Windows ( eventhough some of them like NE, are not upto the mark of competitors like Delphi,Power-Builber, etc. ) So please do respond to the posting : "Informix Tools Customer Requirements" from Matt Anderson of Informix -- Have a nice day Felix K.
