DBSERVERALIASES dbt633_ecms_uat_rep
in sqlhosts
ec_ap_uat_wlg_l group - - i=7
dbt633_ecms_uat_rep onsoctcp wldbt633.maf.govt.nz 1531 g=ec_ap_uat_wlg_l #Linux
I try to connect as a test with dbacess errors with
My aim is to set up enterprise replication using the DBSERVERALIASES .
is there any particular order entries have to be in sqlhosts file.
e.g SERVERNAME before DBSERVERALIASES or vice versa
908: Attempt to connect to database server (dbt633_ecms_uat_rep) failed.
ISAM error: record is locked.
there is no file in INFORMIXTMP for the alias
tried again without doing anything and it worked .why would this be ?
Check your net stats to see if the port is already in use. Also make =
sure
that the server is defined in /etc/hosts. You might need to check your=
server to see if there was a problem when bringing up the server such t=
hat
the listener thread could not be established.

entry as follows
dbt633_ecms_uat onsoctcp wldbt633 1526
everthing seems ok now there have been some network errors
Also telnet <server> <port> then hit return, you should get a 408 error in
the online.log if you get to the engine
Cheers
Paul
