Malc P - pre migration guidelines

Malc P. I remember in the Infobahn you wanted what to check for prior to migrating to a new version of IDS. The new migration guide in IDS 10.00.xC3 documentation http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/ids9help/index.jsp?topic=/com.ibm.mig.doc/mig66.htm includes a "Preparing for migration" chapter than includes a "Diagnostic Information That You Need Before Upgrading" pre-migration checklist. Also there is a chapter "Converting to Version 10.0" that convers how to upgrade including space needed for sysmaster(!) and that you need to run all the onchecks before hand. Personally I would run at least oncheck -cR (reserved + log pages) oncheck -ce (extents) oncheck -cc (system tables) oncheck -cS (metadata and smart blobs) prior to migration. Also make sure in-place alters are complete (via dummy updates). Does this cover what you need? Do you want a breakout session at the next usergroup meeting on this?
