In order to try and circumvent the inevitable long thread, this is a (not necessarily 'the' :) definitive answer. Leap years occur every 4 years (bet you didn't know that!) except in century years. However, century years that are divisible by 400 *do* have a leap year. Therefore 29/02/2000 *is* valid, and is also a once every 400 years occurence. Bryan Tonnet batonnet@zeta.org.au
