ACE Question
Posted in 1996
Ok.. This one stumped me pretty good. I'm writing an ACE program to take a file of pipe-delimited and put the fields out in a coherent manner. I am using 6 arrays (200, 134*5). Two problems: When I wrote an ACE program to put values down into the pipe-delimited file, the first program (with the 6 arrays) wouldn't accept it (too many fields, not enough fields errors). Then I pulled the same information with an unload. Now the program constantly gave me subscript-out-of-bounds errors until the user-load got less. My question: Is there a way to drop a file down pipe-delmited that the 'read' statment won't have any problems? and... Is there some environmental variable that controls how much contigius memory is allocated to ACE programs that I'm blowing past? Any help would be appreciated. -Joseph jkormann@rfbd.org
