How I wish the engine could just check the chunk when it starts } up, then it will find the the chunk is in fact online again. } Not really true. I didnt catch the version of Informix you are using, but if its 5.0 or less, and you do go down, you can bring the engine back online by setting the mirror flag in tbconfig to 1. Then, tbunload your database, initialize the space, and tbload the database back (and remember to check the logging status).
