It looks like the sort that is being done is doing an alpha sort instead of a numeric sort on the Start position. I've seen in the past that Online 5.0 uses the system sort program. When I use to run 5.0 I once had a buggy GNU sort that gave similar symptoms. Try to see if you can capture that actual sort command being used and compare it to GNU sort. Possibly you may have to change the command line of supply an interface program? S.W.
