Hi all, I'am trying to connect informix server via Informix JDBC. If java code is written as an application, it connects and retrieve data from database server correctly. However if I adapt the same code to java applet, and run it from web browser, I get -908 error (Attempt to connect database server (%s) failed). Is there anybody faced with this problem before. If your database server is on a different machine from the web server you will need to use rmi or put a web server on the database server. Applets can't access remote systems other than the one it came from due to Java's security.
