OWS: Online Workgroup Server on NT 4.0 very slow ?

We have just installed the new Online Workgroup Server OWS on NT 4.0 with SP 1 (Pentium 100 with 32 MB). All works well, - we generate the demo database stores7 without any problem. But it takes over one minute to start the Database Explorer ! The test utility ilogin32 takes about 2 minutes to fetch 10 rows of customers (stores7). Thanks for every tip or hint.
