Grabbing records from a stored procedure (Using VBA)

Is it possible for MS Access to grab records from an informix stored procedure? I'm being told no from an Access group, but wanted to check with the informix guys as well to see if you've had to throw data down Access's throat before. I would like to not use pass-through queries because of performance, and have written a stored procedure that executes the query, and returns the values into variables. Thanks, Tim
