Hi,
In version 7, normaly occurrs these error because a mistake in the
installation order of the products
Reinstall the product following the next rule named TEN (tools,
engine, network)
1. Informix Debugger, Informix 4GL, etc.
2. SQL
3. Database Servers.
4. Star (informix 5 versions)

Hi,
I'm trying to load informix on a new machine (I'm a unix administrator and
I've never loaded informix before!) - it's a copy of a machine that already
runs.
I've got to the bit where I try and initialise and I get the following
error.
$ oninit -i -s
This action will initialize Informix Dynamic Server;
any existing Informix Dynamic Server databases will NOT be accessible -
Do you wish to continue (y/n)? y
Cannot find message file. Check INFORMIXDIR and DBLANG
INFORMIXDIR is set but DBLANG isn't (this is the same as my working
installation).
It's IDS 7.31.UD4 running on solaris 2.6
Can anyone help?
