Translating with DrWatson… this can take a few seconds the first time.
This is a genuine, complex translation. DrWatson protects commands, error codes, and log output while naturally translating the surrounding text. It’s translated once and saved.

We do have informix 7.12 running on hp9000 h70 systems. So far we
have not had any performance problems. I do know if you are using
informix 4gl,esqlc,or isql and did not upgrade those the relay module
is reported to be a dog. You may also check on the update statistics
offered with 7.1. I would run the set explain on the queries that
take longer now. If you fragmented after the upgrade if you did not
fragment correctly or you fragmented a small table. The fragmentation
overhead may be costing performance. Sometimes if the table is not
very big the bybacks from fragmentation is not enough to offset the
overhead. The appl we have running on 7.12 is newly developed.
