Limitation of format filename length to ten characters in i4l developement tools for Siemens RM servers

Hello, do you know any reason why the length of format files is limited to ten characters (not including the .per). We just updated from Version 4.x of the developement tools to version 7.x and these stupid limitation doesn't disappear. Is this true also for other platforms or just some special "feature" of the RM port? Greetings, Joerg Spilker
