RE: high availability data replication examples??

Whoa -- the $INFORMIXDIR/demo/cdrapi programs are for ER (Enterprise Replication), also know as CDR (Continuous Data Replication). This relatively new type of replication is completely different from the older HDR (High-availability Data Replication). The best place to find out about HDR is in the IDS Admin Guide, chapters 29 & 30 for version 7.2x. ================================ Paul A. As for code, Informix ships demo programs (source and executable in $INFORMIXDIR/demo/cdrapi) with the database. It is a rather trivial thing to script up these programs which would query the database and automatically set up the replicates. The only annoying thing is that you are limited to 18 characters with the replicate names.
