Splitting field

Hello list. In near future I will have a poor job. Its necessary to split a field into two fields (The field Street will split street and house_number. How can I do this with my old IDS 7.30? A streetname can contains numbers and some house numbers have characters... Thx in advance for your tips. Best regards. Dirk Emmermacher
