date manip. prob with AIX & OnLine 5.05.UC6
Posted in 1997
I have an SQL script which generates yesterday's date, it's used to
determine the name of the previous day's unload file (an ASCII unload
from an Informix database).
The script properly returned yesterday's date when we had OnLine 4.10.UE4
on our IBM RISC AIX box. We upgraded to OnLine 5.05.UC6 and have discovered
the following problem with getting yesterday's date when today's date is
the first of the month:
Script:
select extend(today - 1, month to month),
extend(today - 1, day to day)
from systables
where tabid = 1;
----------
When run on Nov 1st, 1997:
(OnLine 4.10.UE4)
(expression) (expression)
10 31
1 row(s) retrieved.
------------------------
(OnLine 5.05.UC6)
(expression) (expression)
1263: A field in a datetime or interval value is out of range or incorrect.
Error in line 14Near character position 14
Any suggested workarounds? Is this a known bug in 5.05?
