Performance problems

I'm running Informix Online v7 on a Sun Sparc 20 with 160MB of physical memory, and 700MB of swap space. The operating system is Solaris 2.4. The single Informix database server is so configured that it takes up 55MB of memory. Some other applications are present also. I'm investigating performance problems. The vmstat output below appears to show that I have almost 100 processes swapped out! Can this be true? This picture remains consistent over a number of hours. sar -w shows no swapping whatsoever, and I can see that, despite these stats, the Informix database server is still doing I/O and clocking up CPU, and I can connect to it OK to run utilities. Does anyone have any ideas?
