HI, Previously I install the server (11.50FC8)and clientsdk in the same directory. Recently I want to install the server 11.50FC9,Do I need to compile the ESQL/C application again ? THANKS FOR YOUR TIME
No. ESQL applications are backward and forward compatible. You would only have to recompile if there were major engine or ESQL features changes that you need to take advantage of. One example is that applications compiled before v11.10 (so CSDK v3.10 and earlier) don't understand the connection protocols used by the Connection Manager so you would have had to recompile them to take advantage of this new feature back then.
