Nice kill of tbtape -c ?
Posted in 1992
How is it possible to stop 'tbtape -c' if it is running in the background. (Terminal turned off and SIGHUP trapped.) The tbtape command must be stopped in a nice way. Is it possible to use 'kill -xx' ? If you under normal log backup executes 'tbmode -ky' tbtape is stopped in a nice way, but I don't want to execute 'tbmode -ky' with users on my systems and I want ALL my transactions moved to tape -- I want to kill tbtape -c in a nice way. Can you handle this ? If yes then please mail me.
