While running mkmessage command the following error was displayed at the prompt. mkmessage : symbol lookup error : mkmessage : undefined symbol : ifx_version Can any one help ? how to remove that error .. Thanks in advance.. Subhash
Include $INFORMIXDIR/lib/esql early in your LD_LIBRARY_PATH Art Art S. Thanks.. $INFORMIXDIR/lib/esql is already included in my LD_LIBRARY_PATH.. my LD_LIBRARY_PATH is /home/informix/lib:/home/informix/lib/tools:/home/informix/lib/esql eventhough i am getting same problem.. Subhash
Subhash, this is not directed only at you alone but to ALL posters, and I do NOT apologize for shouting: PLEASE INCLUDE THE TEXT OF THE POST TO WHICH YOU ARE REPLYING WHEN YOU POST TO THE IIUG FORUMS! MANY OF US DO NOT USE THE IIUG FORUM BROWSER OR GOOGLE GROUPS, ETC., WE USE EMAIL TO FOLLOW THE FORUMS. MOST OF US DELETE THE POSTS ONCE WE HAVE READ THEM OR REPLIED TO THEM. THAT MEANS THAT WE ARE NOT SEEING A THREADED POSTING CHAIN SO WE HAVE NO CLUE AS TO WHAT POST YOU ARE REPLYING TO WHEN YOU POST SOMETHING LIKE THE POSTING BELOW. There is a disturbing and confusing trend to not quote the posting to which one is responding. I have a vague memory of having told SOMEONE to append $INFORMIXDIR/lib/esql to their LD_LIBRARY_PATH, so Subhash's post may be directed to me, but I also don't remember replying to a post about mkmessage. So, if you want a continuous coherent discussion on your topic, or if you want the rest of the forum denizens to understand your reply to an OPs post, PLEASE quote at least part of the original post and all of the relevant parts of the post to which you are responding!
